Older notes are not showing up in the web-interface and notational velocity.
I use simplenote on the iPhone and through Notational Valocity, and I've experienced a few times that notes I can find in the iPhone app were not showing up in Notational Velocity and the simplenote web interface. As far as I remember this applies mainly to older notes, recent ones come through fine.

Sorry to hear you're having problems.
I can't speak for NV, but our web does a bit different load of your notes than the iPhone app. It will load only a subset of your notes, and gradually the older notes. I'm wondering if in your case it was a time of server load on our side, or connectivity on your side, and those requests were timing out.
Can you jot down any approximate times if it happens again and I can look into it?

I still have the issue mentioned above. It seems like the problem applies only to notes older than April 28, 2010 (many of which I still use for reference), but it's not one contiguous date-chunk that's missing, I've got notes from March that same year that show up in all three of the clients I use (Web, Iphone, Notational Velocity). It seems Notational Velocity and the web-interface are in sync (ie missing the same notes), which leads me to think the problem is on your end somehow - and not with Notational Velocity.
I would experiment and do a "force sync" from the iPhone, but I'm a little wary of losing all my old notes that way.
