No keyboard to enter Passcode

I'm using an ipad2 and have Simplenote set to use a passcode. When simplenote starts the passcode screen displays ready to enter a passocde but the keyboard does not show therefore I cannont enter anything. I have reinstalled the app but still the same issue?

Please ensure you're using the most recent version of Simplenote (by checking for updates in the App Store). There was a known bug that we fixed awhile back. If you're sure you're using the latest version, please contact us at support@simplenoteapp.com so we can help you further.

I'm using the latest version as of 6th Jan 2012. My iPad2 is running iOS 4.3.3 (JB). I also have it on my iPhone 3GS and it works fine. Any ideas?

If it simply doesn't work with iOS 4.3.3 (jailbroken) then I would suggest that you don't use the passcode lock for now. We'll keep trying to reproduce the problem here.
